ASHOK LEYLAND LTD BSE SCRIP ID 500477 BUY FOR AT TARGET OF RS 150

I would like to recommend buying Ashok Leyland for a target of Rs 150/- (CMP =132.85) with a time horizon of 2 months and with a stop loss of Rs 120/-.

Brief introduction about the company

Ashok Leyland, flagship of the Hinduja group, is the 2nd largest manufacturer of commercial vehicles in India, the 4th largest manufacturer of buses in the world, and the 12th largest manufacturers of trucks.

For over five decades, Ashok Leyland has been the technology leader in India’s commercial vehicle industry, molding the country’s commercial vehicle profile by introducing technologies and product ideas that have gone on to become industry norms.

The product range of the company includes:

  • Buses
  • Trucks
  • Engines
  • Defense & Special Vehicles

There is a board meeting on 17th July 2018 for the Q1 Results of 2018. The expectation in the market is that it will have very good growth in revenue and the profits due to a strong recovery in rural demand, government spending on infrastructure etc.

And the demand for FY2018-19 is positively driven by healthy rural sales momentum, the expectation of a normal monsoon and a pick-up in economic activities. The threats are the high fuel price rates and a high rate of interest.

BHARAT ELECTRONICS LTD BSE SCRIP ID 500049 BUY FOR A TARGET OF RS 130.

I would like to recommend buying Bharat Electronics Ltd for a target of Rs 130/- (CMP = 104) with a time horizon of 2 months and with a stop loss of Rs 90/-.

Brief introduction about the company

Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) is an Indian state-owned aerospace and defence company with about nine factories, and several regional offices in India.

It is owned by the Indian Government and primarily manufactures advanced electronic products for the Indian Armed Forces. The company ‘s defense products include defense communication, radars, naval system, intelligence systems, weapon systems, telecom & broadcast systems, electronic warfare and solar photovoltaic systems. Its nondefense products include turnkey system solutions, civilian radars, e-governance systems, and homeland security.

There is board meeting on 31st July 2018 for the Q1 Results of 2018. The expectation in the market is it will have good numbers. I believe that the company is well placed to benefit from Make in India initiatives and increased focus of government on the defense sector.
